With August comes a bounty of ripened tomatoes, sweet peppers, squash, zucchini, basil, and eggplant…all of the ingredients for ratatouille. It’s a good way to preserve the harvest all in one stew…and it freezes well too.
It was a beautiful day to be in the garden. It sure beats wasting a day in court!

The Court cannot give us a specific time. All they can tell us is to show up at 9:30 A.M. and they will assign us a room. It did not take very long last time.

Chioggia beets fresh from the garden.
Last week I harvested these beautiful beets and cooked them up Harvard style,just like my mom used to.
They were delicious!
